First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni concerned over false Doctrines

The First Lady and the Minister of Education and sports Janet Kataaha Museveni expressed concern over some Shepherds who do not care for the sheep and as a result, the sheep get scattered and lost.

This was in her message delivered by Minister for Luweero and Rwenzori affairs, Hon Alice Kaboyo during the consecration ceremony of Bunyoro Regional Leaders of National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda (NFBPC), while concecreting the Regional overseer of Bunyoro Region, Bishop Jackson Muganyi Nyankoojo and his committee who is to be responsible of overseeing the church in the districts of Buliisa, Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Masindi, Kiryandongo and Hoima city.

Minister Janet Kataaha Museveni noted that some christian leaders use false doctrines to mislead people away from the truth of God’s word. She cited the book of Ezekiel 34:9, and stressed that it is our responsibility as the old generation to christians to ensure that the younger generation is disciplined well.

However, she appreciated the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches for their many years of service, drawing numerous people to the saving grace of our Lord. And urged the incoming new Bishop to build bridges and unite God’s people across all denominations.

The First Lady commended the this team in the Region for putting emphasis on the key role of mentorship, in building the body of christ and nurturing leadership in the next generation, through its mentorship program. This is because the church’s future is only as strong and effective as its strategy for passing on the baton to the next generation.

In her own words, the State Minister in the office of the Prime Minister for Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori Region, Hon Alice Kaboyo, appreciated the President for His wisdom to open up grounds for all faiths in Uganda to freely worship their God.
She appealed to this committee for National fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda, to partner more with government to fight poverty among the christians since poverty is a leading temptation among people which drives people to engage in evil acts.

As you are preaching to big numbers of people, you need to preach the gospel of Social Economic Transforming because plain gospel will not take away poverty from the people.’ She stressed.

Minister Alice on her own said. “I am happy to join you and witness the Consecration of the Regional Overseer Bunyoro Region, Bishop Jackson Muganyi Nyakoojo and his Committee.

“I congratulate Bishop Jackson Nyakoojo, on attaining this office, which is a position of great responsibility, as he oversees the Church, in the Districts of Buliisa, Kagadi, Kakumiro, Kibaale, Kikuube, Kiryandongo, Masindi as well as Hoima City.

“I believe that many years of hard work, sacrifice and diligence in heeding to the will of the Lord, have preceded this appointment. I commend you for this significant milestone in your life!! I was informed that the occasion also marks the Commissioning of the Regional, Provincial, District and Sub County Overseers of Bunyoro, who serve under the jurisdiction of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda (NFBPC-U). “She added.

The new Bishop Jackson Muganyi called upon all Regional National fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda up to the Sub county level, government and the Private sector, Civil society organisations, to work together with the NFBPC for the betterment of our country Uganda and Bunyoro Region in particular.

He also requested government to offer them tractors to be used on their farms since many of them are aged and no longer strong enough to dig and promised that people under his leadership will manage the tractors well. He stressed that they have been paying a lot of money to the labourers in their gardens which is not affordable to everyone.

He appealed to the government to build a University with the college of teaching Theology to all religious leaders in Bunyoro.
He noted that they have more than 650 registered members in the Mentorship foundation in Kikuube district and they are saving, thereby asking that the President helps them to launch it.

He pledged that by the end of this year, the 15 Bore holes project that have been offered by the First Lady will be finished, ready to be launched and asked the government to offer him and other Regional leaders with a car from the government to support them while serving, as the President has done it to other religious leaders during their consecration.

This occasion also marked the Commissioning of the Regional, Provincial, District and Subcounty Overseers of Bunyoro, serving under the jurisdiction of the National fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda, together with the launch Borehole project which is aimed at reaching 15 communities. The offices of the Bunyoro Regional Executive Kikuube Mentorship Program were as well launched at the same function.
