According to the reliable sources, Geoffrey Kaketo, a former bombers who disappeared and escaped from the Bombers camp in Germany, in 2017 during the World boxing championship held in Germany, was deported from Sweden where he has been hiding.

Kaketo, together with other bombers boxers, Muzamiru Kakande and Ayiti escaped from the bombers camp in Germany after losing their fights in 2017 for greener pastures since life in Uganda was struggling.

After a month, Kaketo, travelled to Sweden to start amateur boxing until this year when he had a fight with Arabian boxer and Kaketo won the fight but the Arabian did not agree with the judge’s decision and instead with his group attacked Kaketo and his group on the street for street fight. After the fight, the two Kaketo and an Arab were deported to their respective countries.

Tony Sekabira, a UPDF boxing club coach, told our this website that Kaketo, is in the country and have started training with UPDF Boxing in order to reclaim back his number in the bombers squad.
