The Federation of Uganda Football Associations – Fufa 2021 General Elections might miraculously overshadow the recently concluded mainstream polls – judging by the ‘weight’ of citizens – willing to tussle it out with the incumbent, Eng. Moses Magogo.
Magogo – officially declared last week that he would seek for a third term to extend his leadership journey as Fufa president that started in 2013 – which in itself was just an addition because he was took over from St. Mary’s SS director, Lawrence Mulindwa – who he had deputized for several years.

Ugandans to express interest in the top seat Fufa. One of such –Allan Ssewanyana – the Makindye West MP – who failed to make to the ballot paper in the last elections due to technicalities – best known in the corridors of the Mengo establishment, and may resurface in the August polls.
While Ssewanyana may not pose a big threat to the incumbency, one of Proline FC’s directors – Mujib Kasule carries all signs of intimidation because of his experience in football leadership, dating back to his high school days at Kibuli SS.
Kasule declared his candidature on Tuesday at McKinnon Suites – Kampala during a press briefing, where he highlighted his plans. Kasule wants a professional board to manage women football and the Big League – the country’s second flight top competition; an immediate Ugx500m investment into the Big League and Ugx300m into women. Kasule believes that Fufa can afford to give Ugx100m each of the 16 Uganda Premier League clubs a season as each of the eight regions of Fufa receive Ugx125m for grassroots development.
“I announce that I will stand for Fufa presidency in the coming elections,” noted Kasule, adding: “I am going to participate in this political football season, I have offered myself to lead the struggle.”
Kasule formerly played for KCC FC and the national team; established Proline academy before – later on – serving as one of vice presidents of Fufa under the Mulindwa administration.
