Fortbet Real Stars Monthly Awards: Shamika Fadilah, Rogers Mugisha, Jacob Kiplimo, Jannon Otto, Yassin Nasser win February Accolades

Fadilah Shamika Mohammed Rafi returned on Podium in space of one month, she takes home Badminton Accolade of Fortbet Real Stars for the month of February.

The 17 year old badminton star to win the month of February Award, she beat Ndejje University Badminton club player, Husina Kobugabe and Uganda seed one in men, Brian Kasirye.

Shamika became the first Ugandan to win a gold medal on continent away from home in Senior Championship. Fadilah won a gold medal in All Africa Badminton Senior Championship held in South Africa in the month of February, she won three bronze medals in just concluded Uganda International Juniors held at Lugogo Indoor Arena at the end of the month of February.

This is her second time in three months to win this accolade, the previous one came in January when winning the December Accolade.

Upon receiving her accolade on Tuesday at Jude Color Solutions premises at Prime Complex in Kampala, the three bronze medal winner of Uganda International Juniors championship, Fadilah thanked the organizers and revealed how the award keeps her working hard to always win it.

“I am grateful that I am back on Podium, I last won the December Accolade, now here for the February Award.” Shamika told msnews .

She added ” I thanks Fortebet for this award because it really pushes me to work hard.” 

For the month of February, Fortbet awarded six categories, that’s Football, Athletics, Rugby, Badminton, Rally and Basketball.

In football, U20 stars, Rogers Mugisha took the award, going above KCCA custodian Derrick Ochan and Patrick Katumba.

Jannon Otto, the Uganda-America international got the February accolade after exhibiting Amazing performance in the Zone V Afro Basketball Qualifiers, Uganda hosted at Lugogo, she beat Brenah Ekon and Maria Najjuma who are all the Gazelles players. 

Jacob Kiplimo wins for Athletics due to the gold medal he won in Australia, in World Cross Country Championship while Yasin Nasser and Katumba duo won in rally category before, Ogena was  announced as the best Rugby player for the month of February.

CEO, Real Stars Sports Agency, Isaac Mukasa said that they have awarded six categories this month because they looked exceptional from others.
