Four Ugandan football officials selected for 2023 AFCON duties

Despite Uganda’s miss at 2023 Africa Cup of Nations( AFCON) finals, the nation has got some representatives at the continental showpiece.

As part of the CAF delegation playing different key roles in Ivory Coast, Four Ugandans are part of 15 officials selected from the CECAFA region.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations( FUFA) Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Watson, will be part of the Technical Study Group( TSG)

Communications Director Hussein Ahmed and Africa’s renowned journalist Usher Kyomugisha come along in the communication forum.

For Leila Nankya has been selected in the protocal department with Hadja Kayishakire( Rwanda) and Veronica Lusichi( Kenya).

Set to attract 24 nations, Africa’s prestigious competition will commence this weekend on 13th January till 11th February, 2024.
