 FUFA Disciplinary Panel slaps football players, officials and a club with match suspensions and fines

 FUFA Disciplinary Panel (formerly FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel) with guidance of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code has today, Friday 27th October 2023 issued sanctions and fines to football clubs and individuals who have pleaded guilty of violating football rules and regulation.

Two match ban for Walusimbi

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has suspended URA FC player Enoch Walusimbi for two matches in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League following his violent play on an opponent in the game against Wakiso Giants FC on 21st October 2023 in Lugazi.

The violent play put the game of football into disrepute and the conduct ccontravened the FUFA Competitions rules and regulations.

The FDP sanctioned Walusimbi in application of Article 13(1) and 13(3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Asiku fined, handed five match ban

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has handed Wakiso Giants FC player Bashir Asiku a five (5) match ban in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League following his action after the game with his club against URA FC on 21st October 2023 in Lugazi.

The FDP sanctioned Asiku in application of Article 13(1) and 13(3) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Asiku attacked the match officials at the end of the game while in the dressing room, hit the window of the room and shattered the glass. In the process, match officials were injured due to the actions of the mentioned player. Asiku has also been sanctioned a cash fine fine of UGX 500,000(Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings) to be paid by completion of this suspension and he is prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full.

 Kataka FC, Head coach Toldo sanctioned

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has sanctioned Kataka FC and their Head coach Godfrey Awachango Toldo for violating FUFA Competitions rules and regulations during their game against Kyetume FC on 22nd October 2023.

Kataka FC were found guilty after their Head coach Godfrey Awachango Toldo called players to walk off the pitch when a penalty was awarded in the 90th minute to Kyetume FC. The penalty was eventually not taken and the game never completed.

The FDP sanctioned Kataka and their head coach in application of Article 13(1), 13(3) and 18(6) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Kataka FC loses the match by forfeiture and fined 2,000,000= (Two Million Shillings) while the Head coach is suspended with immediate effect from all football activities until 19th November 2023. 

The Head coach Godfrey Awachango Toldo is further sanctioned with a cash fine of UGX 1,000,000(Uganda Shillings One Million) and should be paid by completion of his suspension.

The fine must be paid immediately. He is prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full.
