Uganda Martyrs finally picked their first win of the season, after overcoming newly promoted FC Tooro Queens on matchday three.

In the game played on Saturday at the Bugolobi Coffee Grounds, Uganda Martyrs nicked a hard fought 1-0 win courtesy of Auki Kigongo.

The result gave Lubaga a sigh of relief following their dismal performance in the opening two games which they lost to She Corporate FC and She Maroons FC.

Reigning Champions continued with their impressive start to the new season, picking their third win in as many games.

The Valley Warriors overcame She Maroons 1-0 in Luzira on Sunday thanks to Shadia Nabirye’s early strike.

Agnes Nabukenya had an opportunity to get onto the score sheet for Kawempe but she missed her strike from the spot.

The other games played on Matchday three ended in draws with Kampala Queens playing out a barren draw at Makerere University.

Rines SS had to rally from a goal down to salvage a point against Amus College. Shayline Opisa had given Amus the lead but Phiona Arach levelled matters in the second half.

Wakiso Hill WFC and Lady Doves also played out a one-all draw with Anita Tezikya scoring for the former while Lydia Nyandera got the goal for visiting Lady Doves.

Action continues this weekend with matchday four action from various grounds.
