The fundraising drive is being spearheaded by Gayaza youth archdeaconry which is a province of the church of Uganda.
Church of Uganda youth under the Archdeaconry of Gayaza in kyadondo east has launched a massive campaign to raise over 50 million shillings for the completion of a new church block.
this will be conducted through a Youth run dubbed Yusuf Run 2023/2024 which is designed to foster community engagement, young and old to raise funds for re-development and construction of Gayaza Archdeaconry church through buying the running kits.
The event will provide an excellent opportunity for youths to come together, inspire each other and enhance a healthy lifestyle.
The activity scheduled for 28th 0ctober will be held under the theme ‘Youths Building Gayaza Archdeaconry Church’.
The Yusuf Run at St. Andrews Gayaza Church of Uganda is expected to attract 15000 Runners involving Youths, Church members, well wishers & Running enthusiasts of all ages.
According to the chairperson organizing committee Patrick Bumanye, Participants will have to run or walk .
The Organizers are offering different distance options basing on varying fitness levels and interests.
Patrick Bumanye is appealing to Participants to buy the running kit” at 20, 000shs to facilitate the smooth running of the activities.

Archdeaconry is composed of Masooli, Gayaza, Kitegomba, Kiteezi, Lwadda Kiryagonja Kira, Namulonge ,Mpererwe ,Kanyanya, Kkungu and Bbuye -Kigoowa.
