Gomba people contribute 34 million shillings towards luwalo project

The minister of tourism, water, environment  and agriculture in Buganda Kingdom Owek Mariam Nkalubo, has commended the Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II for giving the Buganda Prime minister another chance in office, to continue serving and developing the kingdom.

This comes at a time when the King of Buganda made reshuffle in his cabinet giving the prime minister another chance and Owek. Mariam Mayanja to retain her office.

Addressing the congregation from Gomba and other parts of Buganda at Bulange mengo, Owek. Mariam Mayanja noted that, just as the Katikkiro was given another chance in office, she was also given another chance in her office and was added other responsibilities.

Owek Mariam has commended the people of Gomba for the heavy contribution towards the luwalo project saying, the funds the kingdom recieves from its people greatly helps to support its activities, siting Bulange buildings.

Owek. Mariam Mayanja cautioned people to acquire land titles and rightful documents on their land to avoid the continuous land wrangles that are becoming usual in Buganda Kingdom, and the country at large. This is the only way to secure their land just incase of any conflict, and to maintain good terms with the land owners so that they get to mutual understanding in every aspect.

Following the continous destruction of the environment in the country, Owek Mayanja has challenged people to endavour preserving the environment to avoid the negative effects that comes with environmental destruction.

Owek Kawuki challenged members of parliament who were present at the function to fight for  Buganda’s federal in parliament, as the people of Buganda fight away from parliament, so that they can achieve a common goal.

He encouraged other people in different parts of the country to join the competitive contribution in the luwalo project so that they work towards the continuous development of the kingdom to keep it shining.

The function was attended by members of parliament such as Woman MP for Gomba district Sylvia Nayebare,  MP for Gomba East constancy Godfrey Saazi, MP for Gomba West county Robinah Rwakoojo among others, plus other parts of the country.
