Haji Gombe unveils Ambulance FMU

The vice President of Federation of Uganda Motor sport, Hajji Gombe has on Thursday January 30th unveiled the first ever motor sport ambulance in Uganda at Kabira country Club, Bukoto.

The ambulance unveiled today costed ugshs. 80m by ENduro Uganda club for safety of drivers, fans and journalists who support motor sport as a game.

Due to the press conferences held at Kabira country club in October 2019, the president of ENduro Uganda club launched the campaign of buying their own ambulance, and decided to organise motor sport event in line of fund rising of the money for buying the ambulance, however the money promised to buy the ambulance was not raised, though due to the support of their sponsors, Shell, mountain dew, Kabira country club, ENduro managed to look for money and managed to buy 80m ambulance.

While at the unveiling press conference, vice president FMU, Hajji Gombe thanked all the sponsors, fans and ENduro Uganda club for the ambulance.

“I thank you all because we managed to reach on our first step. Motor sport is dangerous sport and can be harmful to our lives, so in any 1000m the driver is going to drive they should be ambulance and so far we have accommodate one, so safety are tight”, Gombe noted.

“It is not for ENduro product but it is for all motor sport fraternity and some things are missing but we are going to fulfil it.

The ambulance costs 80m but we don’t managed to buy 110 m ambulance but their is missing things and we have a believe that we are going to search for money to build our ambulance to the intensive care ambulance”, Tendo Mutale president of ENduro Uganda club highlighted.

However Alex from Shell mobilized the ENduro Uganda club to keep it in the good condition. “When we hard the first press conference last year we decided to buy ambulance to reduce accidents and save people’s lives.

More we looked the sport going forward and it is our role to keep it in the better condition”. Uganda has only two ambulance which is on the intensive care unit, all our prayers is to look on ENduro Uganda to build the third ambulance to the intensive care standards.
