Haji Magala Suleiman and his two deputies, Haji Musa Lubega and Mr. Sam Ndugga the first and second respectively have been inaugurated in the office of Katambala on Wednesday 13th November 2019.
The function was presided over by Owek. Noah Kiyimba the Buganda Kingdom minister in charge of Olukiiko, Cabinet as well as information and PRO.
Katambala Haji Magala was ashered into the hispredecessor Haji Twaha Kibalizi Lwanyaga who later handed over the office and other instruments like Buganda Kingdom Flag, keys, cheque book and the entire Ssaza headquarters lands as he shown him the boundaries.
Katambala Haji Magala pledged to work hand in with other Buganda chiefs and the out going Haji Twaha Lwanyaga Kibalizi who served for 19 year so that to promote and develope the county.
The out going, Owen. Lwanyaga promised to be obedient and cooperative to the Katambala and argued Buganda government to do things in formal way by writing officially to the out going but not just announcing on the as it’s done these days.
Owek. Noah Kiyimba thanked the out going Katambala the service of 19 years and argued his to rest but not retire from serving the Kabaka.
Mr. Kiyimba also argued the in coming leadership to work hard and hand in hand with local chiefs so as to fulfil Kabaka’s work.
Butambala county serves a district which is comprises of six sub-counties and two town councils that is; Kibibi, Budde, Kalamba, Kitimba, Bulo, Ngando sub-counties and Gombe & Kibibi town councils.
Katambala Hajji Suleiman Magala 44 years is a fifth born child of Hajji Yusuf Magala and Hajat Madinah Magala of Kibibi Butambala.
He has been the first deputy to the out going Katambala for three years.
He is the current chairman of Bika bya Baganda football organising committee.
He is the proprietor of Kibibi Muslim SS Butambala as well as the head teacher and he is also director of Muteesa I Junior School Zirobwe-Bulemeezi, Luweero district.
