Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium has had a full installation of the playing surface and goals, stadium developer Hamis Kiggundu has confirmed.
While works are still ongoing, they are in their final stages, giving a sigh of relief that football action at the historical stadium is close
After receiving the playing surface over a month ago, the artificial turf whose installation has been ongoing, is now fully fitted, and lines have been drawn in the usual white markings.
“Stadium turf and goal installation done, for God and my country,” posted Ham on his official social media handles.
The goalposts have also been fully fitted while the corner flags have also been erected.
This is in addition to the seats in the stands that were put months back – everything symbolizing a new lease of life.
VIP sections and indoor facilities have also received their seats, all looking spick and span.
While the official opening date is yet to be revealed by Ham, the stadium now nearing full completion and it’s only a matter how than when…
