The Launch of Kalume Foundation was a success at a colourful function that took place at Bombo Muslim Secondary School in Luwero district,on 30/06/2024, with an aim of considering the President’s idea of forming small scale Associations from villages, Parishes and Subcounty levels, to achieve the President’s call for Economic Transformations and help villages to be organised politically.

This Foundation is dedicated towards transforming lives and empowering communities through innovative initiatives including interest free banking, a state of the art Hospital, job creation, industrialisation, ICT infrastructure, and talent development.

The Founder of Kalume Foundation Alhaji Abubakar Kalume expressed hope, that the Foundation will grow big and fulfill its objectives.

He noted that they have launched foot soldiers of Kalume foundation to all the six Sub counties that make up Katikamu South Constituency.

“Through the attention and the priority we give to the words of H.E the President, we have discovered that it is possible and we believe that our organisation will be a role model in achieving the President’s Millennium Development Targets.” He emphasised.

While officiating the launch of the foundation, and laying a foundation stone and inaugurating Bombo Muslim Secondary School, the State Minister in the office of the Prime Minister for Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori region Hon Alice Kaboyo, expressed hope that Kalume Foundation will help secure support for the party aspiring leaders from village level to the National leadership level.

She noted that they want to see people in the party raising equally without leaving anyone behind so that all people enjoy the government benefits in their country without discriminations.

She appreciated the NRM candidates who stayed loyal and served the party although they lost during the previous elections. She appealed to Hon Kalume and other NRM aspiring leaders to train the youth who have crossed from other parties to Nrm about the party objectives and Manifesto so that they can support what they understand well.

However, Minister Kaboyo challenged aspiring leaders for the coming elections to stand for the NRM party and mobilize for the party as much as they can, and as well echo the President’s messages and make sure that they go along with the NRM manifesto.

Seif Katabaazi, Deputy RDC Luwero district, expressed dissatisfaction over the hypocrisy among the people who pretend to be demanding for the return of the Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II, yet they have their hidden agendas with negative intentions towards Buganda Kingdom and the country at large.

He challenged people to work together for the good of the country and make sure that they use whatever opportunities that come their way especially from the government, so that they are not left behind. He urged people to vote for the leaders who can mobilize funds for their well being other than supporting those who politicise issues.

However he appreciated the youth from the foot soldiers who have crossed to NRM and pledged to the President that the youth are to do whatever is needed to make NRM shine in Luwero district.

NRM Mobliser in Luwero district Hon Cissy Mulondo commended the Founder of Kalume foundation Hon Abubaker Kalume for loving the NRM party and mobilizing its supporters and called upon all people to turn up in big numbers at the function due to take place on 05/07/2024 in Kololo to join others in appreciating the work of the President towards the country.
