The Mityana Municipality Member Of Parliament Hon. Zaake Francis Butebi has today, Monday November 6th appeared before the Parliamentary disciplinary committee on matters concerning the legislator’s behaviors.

The NUP suspended commissioner of parliament , who was flanked by his legal adviser, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwag and other NUP MPs said that he appeared before the committee to allow it proceed with it’s inquiry into the the matter referred to it by the Speaker as stated bellow on his X handle.’

“I have appeared before the Disciplinary Committee of Parliament to proceed with its ‘inquiry’ into allegations that I misbehaved when I demanded for the release of all political prisoners and abductees in November last year.

“Parliament had abandoned this particular matter since March until a few days ago when they suspiciously resurrected it.

“The Committee has informed me that inasmuch as they do not have any specific complainant against me nor do they have the particulars of what exactly I did that day that constitutes misbehaviour, its proceedings will nevertheless go on. In short, they’re saying I must defend myself even if there is no one accusing me!

“These unending references to the Committee are part of the leadership of Parliament’s wider plot to persecute and silence me so that they may, among other reasons, use me as an example to strike fear among other MPs not to dare question their excesses.

“Well, whatever they want to do, I am ready. I am only one person among millions fighting dictatorship wherever and in whomever it might rear its ugly head. “Hon. Zaake wrote.
