ITS HARD TASK TO REVIVE NRM PARTY GLORY IN KAMPALA.

The ruling NRM party central executive committee (CEC) newly elected vice chairman in charge of Kampala Singh Katongole has appealed party members to be united, focused and visional to revive party glory in Kampala a head of general elections.

Singh Katingole says that NRM party has totally lost its glory especially in Kampala where opposition has dominated for all the time due to the disassociation of its members to local people and many have forgot their roles to execute.

This follows the recent just conclusion party CEC elections which left some party members complaining saying elections were not free and fair.
Recently, Sanjay Tanna who was beaten by his strong opponent Captain Mike Gorge Mukula on the position of party CEC vice chairman in charge of Eastern region urged party chairman also the president of Uganda Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and party secretary general Justine Kasule Lumumba to intervene in this matter despite party electoral commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi in his response to these election said, all things went well and successful.
“I feel happy because party CEC elections were done freely and fair therefore I appeal all those who feel that elections were not free and fair to petition, Tanga added”.
Now the newly elected party CEC vice chairman in charge of Kampala Singh Katongole says, much is still needed to do to bring back NRM party on map in Kampala, “I thank NRM party members to elect me on the position of party CEC vice chairman in charge of Kampala, but I have much task to do bring back Kampala youths in the party and I blame party top leaders and other officials who have feeling that the party is theirs alone”, Katongole added.
He says despite there are some challenges within the party, but it remains strong and every party member should execute his/her work transparently instead quarrelling with each other, however he urged all party members who did not go through in these elections to remain calm, united to serve the party accordingly.
