“I MISSED OUT OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE B’SE OF PM. NABANJA’S DUTY -BUSINGYE CHAMPION

Uganda Boxing Champions League has entered season three and one of the boxers expected in this edition, Busingye Champion missed out in the just concluded National Open boxing championship which is the qualifier for the boxing Champions League meaning he will not participate in the championship.

Busingye, a former National Open light fly weight champion from Police boxing club was among the expected boxers to participate in this National Open but missed out at the last moment due prime minister Rt. Hon. Nabanjja’s duty.

Busingye, who was found in hard training at Police boxing gym at Kibuli us that he missed to participate in the National Open because he was given a task to guard Rt. Hon. prime minister, Robinah Nabbanja and he was very confident of qualifying for the Champions League.

“Am here training hard while waiting for a wild card to join the Champions League and i know my time will come. “He said.

Busingye, represented Uganda in the East African community games in Burundi and All African games in Morocco.

The UBF boxing champions league season three is expected to take off Saturday June 8th at Club Obbligato Bombo road in Kampala.
