INDIANS DOMINATE DAY ONE AS PARA BADMINTON KICK OFF AT LUGOGO

This year’s para Olympic badminton have started today at Lugogo with India dominating the first day.

The tournament which started today at mtn arena will come to end on Sunday and 25 countries have participated in this year’s tournament.

Africa was represented by 12 countries which includes; Uganda as a host,  Zambia, Tunisia,  Senegal,  Togo, Egypt, Nigeria,  Ivory Coast .

Countries from other continent include; Spain,  India,  Australia, Korea and others.

The winner in this tournament will  walk away with medals and this tournament will act as a qualification for the olympics.

For the past years,  foreigners have been dominating this tournament.

“We hope that this tournament will run smoothly and expect good games from the participants” Simon Mugabi, CEO badminton association,  states.

This tournament started in 2017 but missed two years due to covid 19 Pandemic.
