Its all set for Sunday’s MTN Kampala Marathon, maximum cooperation required, says Zirabamuzale

Its all set for this year’s MTN Kampala Marathon 2019, the 15th edition scheduled for Sunday 24th November at Kololo Independence grounds.

Afande Zirabamuzale Bruhan Muzafalu, the traffic officer confirmed safety and calls for maximum cooperation on Sunday 24th November 2019 during the 15th edition of MTN Kampala Marathon.

“Am here to give assurance to the people who registered for MTN Kampala marathon to enjoy their day on Sunday at Kololo. Members for the public who are not going to participate in the MTN Marathon requested for maximum cooperation because some roads are going to be cut off for the participants to enjoy their day”, Afande Zirabamuzale asserted while addressing the media today Friday at MTN offices at Jinja road .

“For the Boda boda riders I pleased to bear with us to not by passing off the road sides for the successful marathon. Although I encourage people to not to carry their animals to the marathon, because you will not be allow to run with them, for example a sheep, a dog , if you come with it we shall keep it for until the end of the marathon”, Zirabamuzale added.

Afande Zirabamuzale Buruhan encouraged the parents who will be with their children to take care of them, because they would lose or knocked during in the marathon process.

As we talk now about 25000 people have registered to participate in the MTN marathon including the Kenyans, Ethiopians and among other countries.

However the Athletes from Kenya the defending champion of MTN marathon 2018 Lidyia Wafula this time is not so certain whether she will take the 42km race because she isn’t well prepared.

The theme of this marathon is to support the health of mothers in the Maternity ward.

Different gifts and awards and prize money are to be rewarded to the winners, and a 20m are there for the winners, so MTN encourages the public to go and registered at their offices at ugshs 10,000 so that to participate in the remarkable marathon.
