The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel (FCDP) has opened disciplinary proceedings against  KCCA FC interim coach Jackson Mayanja for his post-match comments made on Friday 5th May 2023 after a league clash between his side and Vipers SC at St. Mary’s stadium Kitende, blaming centre referee Mashood Ssali for the team’s 1-0 loss to Vipers SC.

The proceedings were opened drawing attention to Article 31 of the FUFA Competition rules and regulations with reference to the comments which appears to constitute improper conduct.

” thank you for coming in big numbers all media houses, football says let the best team win but you have witnessed the best team losing instead. without fearing anyone, Ssali Masoudi you have led the bad team to win”, Jackson Mayanja admitted.

All the above follows their 1-0 loss in a highly anticipated Uganda Premier League fixture which saw the hosts narrowly snatching a victory with Milton karisa’s solitary strike two minutes close to stoppage time.

The victory indicated that the Venoms then replaced the Kasasiro boys in the second position on just goal difference however Vipers SC have a game in hand.

As the table stands now, SC Villa are at the summit with 46 points in 25 games, Vipers SC sits second with 45 points an KCCA FC comes third with 45 points too.

Meanwhile, Mayanja is required to submit a written response and send it to FUFA on email by Monday 8th May 2023 at 2.00PM or hand deliver to FUFA house.
