Jacob Oulanya memorial autocross and enduro challenge launched

Jacob Oulanya memorial autocross and enduro challenge launched today at Grand Imperial Hotel, by minister for justice and constitutional affairs, Mr. Nobert Mao.

The competition is scheduled for 24-26, this month at Omoro district,  where the late Jacob Oulanyah, was born and buried.On the launch on, was the Omoro mp and son to late Jacob Oulanya, Ojok Oulanyah and other mps from northern side.

While, addressing the journalist at Grand imperial, DP president and minister for justice and constitutional affairs, Mr. Nobert Mao, said, its a great pleasure for the people of northern Uganda, to have such a wonderful occasion because every year, it will be taking place.

The late Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah, was a member of Uganda Bikers Association and used to compete in the African kwetu.

According, to the event organisers, every biker, who will compete at this first event, will be given free fuel to and from the event area in Omoro.

The memorial activities will start on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, with the launch in Kampala of a legacy autocross competition by Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo and Justice Minister Norbert Mao, who were both close friends to late Jacob Oulanyah.

The former speaker of the 11th Parliament died in the United States on March 20, 2022. The memorial activities will stretch over seven days within March 14-26, 2023, according to Mr. Justus Tugume, the political assistant to Oulanyah’s son Andrew Ojok elected last year as his successor for the Omoro parliamentary seat. MP Ojok is the main organiser of the remembrance activities for his deceased father.
