Joachim Ojera summoned as McKinstry names the 30 man Cranes squad for CECAFA cup

Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry has summoned the 30 man Uganda Cranes squad, these include the young talented URA winger Joachim Ojera who has been summoned to the senior national side for the first.

The former All Stars FC, Nangabo Green Valley and Lira utd FC, since joining URA nearly two years has impressively improving his game and to many fans who have watched playing have been convinced and see a bright future of Uganda’s football and a Divid Obua’s replacement.

The team will start preparations ahead of the 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup tomorrow.

This year’s tournament will be hosted in Uganda and it is slated for 7th to 19th of December.

The named 30 players are all local-based, from whom he will name Uganda’s final team.

As expected, KCCA FC the most players on the team (7) with URA FC and Vipers SC following closely with five each.

Training starts on Wednesday, 27th November 2019 but will not feature players from KCCA FC, Proline FC and SC Villa players.

The three clubs still have fixtures in the first round so their players will be exempted for the first training sessions.

Ugandan is in Group A of the 12 team tournament where they will face Burundi, Ethiopia and Eritrea for a right to progress to the knock-out stage.

Uganda has won the competition a record 14 times, with the first coming in 1973 and the latest in 2015.
