The parliamentary appoints committee is to vet the His LordShip Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny Dollo today under the chair of the speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.
Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo is a Ugandan lawyer and judge, served as the Acting Chief justice from 22 June 2020 and a deputy Chief Justice of Uganda since 30 September 2017.
He had been appointed to that above position in August 2017, replacing Steven Kavuma who attained the mandatory retirement age of 70 years on 29 September 2017.
His vetting comes after the appointment by president Yoweri Museveni last week.
