Road users in Kampala are likely to face the most ever traffic jam congestion and other road problems due to the new and modern technology traffic control lights cut off in City as the company assigned to do mantainace seems to have put the tools down.
On Saturday 31st August 2019 most of the newly installed traffic control lights in city spent the entire day off.
The sources indicate that, the problem which may have caused that stand off is the company which was contracted to install and mantain those traffic control light in the capital by the left ED Jennifer Musisi’s regime has gone two year with out being paid.
Repower company is thought to be demandind more than two billion Uganda shillings(2bn) from the City managers KCCA, which has cripled their working follow.
The Namboole based electronic company used some the money to buy materials but up date, the has not yet been refunded by the authority.
