The Kampala Club Championship Tournament and SFA refereeing training course which is fully sponsored by National Council of Sports will kick off tomorrow, Tuesday July 2 and climax on Saturday July 6 at Kampala Club squash venue.
Two activities will be conducted at the same, conducting squash games and same time conducting SFA refereeing training course.
The president of Squash Africa , Dr Lucky Mlilo will bless this tournament which will start tomorrow.
According to Lucky, Squash will be playing at Olympics games ,starting with the 2028. Dr. Lucky, went on to thank the Squash officials for the warmly welcome.
According to Squash president, John Bosch Tamwesigire, 17 clubs from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania are expecting to take place and the winner is expected to walk away with 5 million shilling.
Emmanuel Amuri ,a squash player from Rwanda who is seeded number three in Rwanda ,said that he is expecting to perform well in this tournament.
James Kasumba, official from NCS launched the tournament and on behalf of the government, the tournament is expecting to run well.
Mike Kawooya, a Squash player thanked NCS for their support and expecting a good tournament.
Seniors, Open and Ladies are the categories to take place and more than 90 participants are expecting to take place.
Paul Kadoma of Uganda is favourites of winning this tournament.
