As Buganda kingdom prepares to commemorate the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II 30 Coronation, PLASCON paints has donated paint and service providers towards the renovation of the Twekobe house in Lubiri.
The Twekobe house is the main house in the Kingdom’s main palace (Lubiri) as it is a symbol of Buganda’s main home for the king which is highly respected by the Buganda people and subjects.
This house was constructed way back in 1922 during the leadership of Kabaka Daudi Chwa who came into power after his father Kabaka Mwanga went to exile.
While receiving the Paint from PLASCON in Lubiri on behalf of Buganda Kingdom, the Lubiri Mengo manager appreciated PLASCON for always supporting Buganda activities and pledge to continue mobilizing the people in Buganda to work with them.
Ssewava has added that such a contribution is highly received as it is a way of preparing a honorable function for the Kabaka.
The national Sales Manager Moses Kato has expressed gratitude towards their contribution to the kabaka’s coronation. He added that this service is to be completed within 5 days from now.
He says that they have packaged their contribution with man power who are going to do the whole process for Twekobe to shine inside and outside.
The PlASCON Brand manager Daniel Kayongo has said that the company is delighted to be part of kabaka’s 30th Anniversary, and they are committed to see that by the time of the official coronation, the palace will be shinning.
PLASCON has been genuinely contributing towards painting Buganda kingdom buildings such as Bulange, Twekobe among others, as away showing their cooperation with the kingdom of Buganda.
It should be noted that upon the restoration of Buganda Kingdoms, on 31st July 1993, the kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the second was crowned in Buddo.
