Kanyike and Ssewanyana shines to guide Bululi passed Bulemeezi in Airtel Masaza Cup 2024 Opener

The 2024 Airtel Masaza cup tournament switched on with Bululi bossing over defending Champions Bulemeezi at Kosovo ground in Kasana Luwero.

The game that was played in front of a big crowd that contained thousands of both Bululi and Bulemeezi fans, the sponsors, Airtel Uganda, Centenary Bank, Kansai Plascon paint, dignitaries from Buganda Government led By the Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga.

Robert Ssewanyana who trained the most part of preparation with Bulemeezi before turning him down to look for a place in Bululi camp scored the lone goal of the game that took place on Saturday 22 June 2024.

It was a game which was not in expectations for Bulemeezi to look in the as they were out of options going forward.

Bululi dominated the game with Muhammad Kanyike playing the Dominative role of the game posting a man of the match performance.

Bulemeezi started the game in a fine was with Midfielder George Masembe, Defender Mansul Angua looking in a comfortable Control of the game before Masembe facing limitations due to an early yellow card Just after the opening ten minutes.

From there Bululi got in the control and inside the next ten minutes they managed to get into the lead of the game maintaining the game up to final whistle.

While Bululi leading Bulemeezi just came close to score with Defender Dickson Kamya missing a tap in from Mike Katumwa’s Cross and on another occasion Kiyemba Elia missed a header.

At the end of the game the joyful Bululi Coach Anthony Bongole noted “I am glad that we have had a good game, now we have three points at hand it is nice, we still have a long way to go and we will have to work hard if we want to go through the group”

The 2011 Masaza Cup champions are at less odds to go through the group though with this result a ground can be found. Bulemeezi operated with out head Coach Paul Nkata on Touchline and his partner Geoffrey Wasswa took the charge of the team.

Bululi never lost to Bulemeezi in such a crowd and the result was on course of Passed hunting the present.
