Kasirye, Fadilah and Mbabazi in Uganda International Series quarter finals

As Uganda International Series going in challenges Uganda’s hope for medals is still on with 2 players in Women Singles.

After missing on participants list at Kampala international Fadilah has returned fresh with her round of 32 and 16 by straight sets defeating Ramiah Bukenya 21-5 21-4 and Zainaba Reem Siraj 21-13 21-8 to reach Quarter finals.

Gladys Mbabazi also resisted to get into last 8 by eliminating Indian Shravya Dande and Luxembourg Kim Schmidt 2-1 respectively.
On men singles side Brian Kasirye won Akbar Oduka by straight sets 21-8 21-13 to find a competitive match against UAE’s Kuswanto Kuswanto which he won 2-1 counting 21-19 17-21 21-15.

In doubles Uganda is well represented at quarter final stage per category.

In women’s doubles

Husina Kobugabe and Gladys , Trisha Rodah Kyuuka with Vivian Nalule, Fadilah Shimika Muhammad Rafi with Tracy Naluwooza.
In Men’s Doubles Exipedito Emuddu is partnering Augustus Owinyi, Abdul Hirya along Abdul Razak Mabuya, Thomas Kateregga with Amos Mayanja, Abed Bukenya and Alyaan Mawani while Brian Kasirye and Muzafaru Lubega forming the most performaning duo.

Uganda also has more pairs in mixed doubles with Dennis Omara combining Betty Apio, Ivan Mayego and Jovia Kyomuhendo while Kenneth Comfort Mwambu and Tracy Naluwooza have also booked their slots in quarters.
