The Buganda Premier Owek Charles Peter Mayiga has challenged parents who burden children’s responsibility with teachers and ignore monitoring and training them with issues concerning their life.

He mentioned this as he was attending the graduation party for Nalwoga Kasozi Roberta, a daughter to one of the Buganda kingdom employees Robert Kasozi in Seguku.

Owek Mayiga noted that some parents don’t take their responsibility to groom their children and only look at the role played by teachers and this has led to most of them grow up as irresponsible citizens and others to drop out of school earlier.

Robert Kasozi appreciated his daughter for enduring all the challenges and completed school but he expressed concern over the difficulties faced during current school times.

This function was attended by different Buganda Kingdom ministers, employees from different Buganda Kingdom departments, among others.
