Unlike the previous three (3) years where we had one tournament for the whole of Lubaga North Constituency, this year (2019) the Kawalya Football Tournament Organizing Committee resolved to have teams competing in their respective 5 parishes that make Lubaga North Constituency. These parishes include; Kasubi, Lubya, Lungujja, Nakulabye and Namirembe.
As you read this news, Kasubi Parish has already finished the Tournament and Masiro FC emerged victorious.
Nakulabye Parishes is ongoing and on Sunday 21st July, Kawalya Football Tournament has been launched in Lubya parish at St. Mark Primary School Masanafu – Kinoonya. At the launch on Sunday,teams were given jerseys to used this competition with a call for team managers and coaches to display a high level of discipline on top of playing at the top of their games because, on top of winning the trophy and the Bull, many football scouts are following them. In the opening march, Namungoona FC held by Black Stars FC 1-1 all draw, the tournament will run for a month in Lubya Parish and from there, it will go on in other parishes. Nakulabye Parish finals are set for Sunday 28/July/2019.
