Kaweesi played a key role as his New Life Katereke eliminates Kansanga Half London from Uganda Cup.

Abby Kavuma coached New Life Katereke through Shafick Kaweesi’ s game flair passed Kansanga half London to reach the Kampala region Uganda cup qualifier.

The match played at Kansanga Seed on 21st December 2023 Kaweesi’s lively game came early by winning free kicks in crucial area as opponent players had nothing to control him besides rough playing against Katereke’s play maker.

In absence of fellow key players in Miod Aksam and Trevor Bbaale through illness Kaweesi raised his bars contributing in two goals after scoring in 32nd minutes of the play.

Early in second half of the game his intelligent play help the his team to get a well constructed goals netted by Muhammad Ssempebwa after getting an assist from Joseh Lwanga in 52th minute.

Both players with final touches just took less than 5 minutes after replacing Coleen Muleme and Paddy Akamba.

Latter around 5 minutes Kaweesi also won Free but resulted nothing but again few minutes from the incidence he sliced apart Kansanga’s defence and pass to Lwanga who had a slit touch to find Fahad Sacco to add on another unplayable touch to find Ssempebwa ‘PEEPE’ whom technically taken a short for his brace which took the game to 3-0 in favour of the visitors and latter became the final score.

Elsewhere Mbogo eliminated Wembley Boys 02-04, Police Young also saw off
Lutembe fc 01(02)-01 (04) on penalties.

Nakulabye washed out 0-2 by Lufula FC, Kyambogo at home eliminated KJT 0(05- 0(04) as Iris FC stopping Lukuli Hearts with 2-0 And Ntinda United progressed to next stage after defeating Proline FC 1-0.

Teams which managed to win there games have reached the Kampala region round of 16 which shall take place on 28 December 2023 with New Life Katereke facing either Lungujja Galaxy or Mutungo united following the result to come from the their meeting on 23rd December 2023.
