Madinah Islamic made it to their maiden final of the UMEA Solidarity Games after eliminating Green light Islamic SS on semifinal via spot kicks.
They have set a meeting with Kawempe Muslim SS A on final that will be honored on Monday at Kawanda SS.
Madinah beat Greenlight Islamic 4-2 through penalties following a goalless semifinals draw.
The best moment of the game was when forward Miad Aksam stole the show by stepping in the goal to save Green light’s third penalty taken by Derrick and Later created an intimidation to force Talemwa putting Green light’ s for penalty on Cross bar.
Madinah Islamic took 4 penalties and all of them were smartly converted.
On their search of first UMEA football trophy they will have to beat The 2018 champions, Kawempe Muslim a team which eliminated tournament giants, Kibuli SS.
The Kawempe division school managed to send Defending champion Masaka SS home by a 2-0 win on quarters and later eliminated Kibuli SS on semi final which ended 1-1 by Obed Ronald netting for Kawempe Muslims and Kenneth Kimera for Kibuli SS to enable Kawampe taking a 4-2 shootout advantage as Makanga Khalid, Kidega Godfrey, Obed Ronald and Ssali scoring their sports to save Ssenfuka Yusuf who missed.
On Kibuli SS side Batibwe Charles and Kenneth Kimera who became a goal keeper during shootouts are the only two to hit the target while Mafumu Dawson and Ogwanga Joseph force their shots of the target.
The game graded Kibuli SS to the 3rd place battle against Greenlight which will go on at 11am as the spectators will in waiting for the final time which is 1:00pm.
