African stars 3-2 KCCA FC
Uganda’s representative to the Total CAF Champions league KCCA FC have suffered a 3-2 loss to Namibia’s African stars.
African Stars came from a goal down to win 3-2, in game where the visitors lost Allan Okello and Mustafa Kiiza who were stretchered out of the pitch and were replaced by Eric Ssenjobe and Hassan Musana respectively.
The visitors took an early lead when Ivan Kamberipa looped his keeper to score into his own net in the 13th minute.
Ambrosius Amseb leveled via a penalty in the 40th minute when Magambo handled the ball.
Yossouf Ibrahim put the hosts in the lead in the 75th minute.
Patrick Kaddu made it two all in the 82nd minute when he tapped in from Sadat Anaku’s assist but Mike Mutebi’s charges failed to hold on for an away point.
Yossouf scored three minutes later to earn him a brace from a long range to seal the win.
Kaddu, earlier had his effort cleared off the line while Kato Samuel leveled at the death but his goal was cancelled with the referee claiming that there was a handball in the build up.
KCCA FC will need at least a 1-0 win in the return leg back home in a fortnight at the Startimes stadium in Kampala.
