Uganda’s representatives in the CAF Champions League will have to navigate a 90 minutes journey with a win over their Angolan counter parts Petro De Luanda at Lugogo for the return match before they head into the group stages of the continent’s biggest club football tournament.

The reverse fixture was played to a goalless stalemate away in Luanda.

In order to proceed to the group stages of the 56th edition of this prestigious tournament, KCCA will have to avoid conceeding and must score atleast one goal.

Youngster Julius Poloto has started light training but is yet to get into shape and will have stay out a little longer.

Hassan Jurua and midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma are also sidelined due to injury.

However, there has been a timely boost to the KCCA camp with youngsters Sadat Anaku and Steven Sserwadda who are part of the national U-20 team taking part in the CECAFA competition being temporarily released for club duty.

KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi believes it is never going to be a walk in the park for the Kasasiro boys.
He said ;

“It’s going to be tricky but i believe we have enough to negotiate the challenge. So it’s not going to be a walk in the park but in the end, expect a very good match”. He asserted during the pre match press conference at Lugogo.

The overall winner will proceed to the group stages of this year’s CAF Champions League.
