Renowned actors Kate Actress and Philip Karanja, popularly known as Phil Director, have made the decision to end their marriage after spending several years together.
In a joint statement released on Tuesday, the couple revealed that they had actually separated some time ago. They have requested that their privacy be respected, particularly for the well-being of their children.
“We reached the conclusion to end our marriage a significant while back, and we are now living apart. We sincerely appeal to everyone to respect our request for privacy for ourselves and, most importantly, for the sake of our children,” the statement read.
Phil responded to the situation by emphasizing that they intend to remain friends and continue their business collaborations.

However, as of April this year, rumours began circulating about their separation. Kate Actress removed any trace of her spouse from her social media platforms.
Her page has recently become dedicated to her personal brand. Kate later posted a video of the family having a time, dispelling the rumors of the separation.
Kate Actress emphasized that their relationship was never a secret, but rather a matter of privacy. She expressed her gratitude to their loyal fans for their enduring support over the years.
“Kate Actress posted on her Instagram stories: ”We were never a secret, just private. To all our dear fans, ASANTENI SANA, for the support over the years.'”
The couple made it clear that they had come to a mutual decision to end their marriage, which happened some time ago.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” their join statement posted on Instagram indicated.
In response, Phil Director acknowledged the matter and conveyed that they would continue as friends and business partners, emphasizing the need to move forward with their lives without unnecessary speculation.

The couple, who exchanged vows in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family in November 2017, after dating for a period of time, had faced rumours of their separation earlier this year.
Kate Actress had initially removed pictures of Phil from her social media accounts, leading to confusion among her fans. However, she later clarified the status of their marriage through an Instagram story, sharing videos of them enjoying each other’s company at an event, reaffirming that their relationship remained amicable and supportive.
