Unidentified assailants have shot and killed Counsel Isaac Sendegeya, a partner from
Sendegeya and Company Advocates in Kisoro district.
Sendegeya 40, was killed last night at around 2:00 am at the door of his house in Nturo village Chihe parish Nyakinama Sub-county, after returning home from Kisoro town.
The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that the deceased was shot from the back, he died instantly.
Mr Maate says that police recovered one cartridge from the scene while the body of the deceased is pending postmortem.
Mr Maate has asked the public to cooperate with police during the investigations so that the assailants are arrested and charged accordingly.
Area district counclor and vice chairman Kisoro district Ramadan Ndikuyeze urged police to keep people of the area by patrolling during night and government to reduce the number of from people.
