Kitara FC attacking Duo to turn focus on National team duties.

Jude Ssemugabi and Denis Omedi both playing for Kitara FC have been summoned to represent the country at the opening of new AFCON campaign.

Uganda Cranes will start the 2025 Africa Cup of National qualifiers, away to South Africa Friday on 6th September 2024.

Following the South Africa game Uganda Cranes shall return to action after 3 days against Congo Brazzaville at Namboole national stadium.

Cranes Coach Paul Put on Tuesday 27 August 2024 has announced a squad of 28 players in total to take Uganda through the contests.

It is revealed that the national team shall travel on a split bases with players in the country expected to fly on August 31 while those who are outside shall connect to South Africa directly from their clubs.

During the ties, the Cranes shall miss services of Allan Kyambadde, Herbart Ssewankambo, and Moses Opondo through injuries.

For the first match the team will also miss the services of Halid Lwalilwa and Kenneth Ssemakula due to travel documents but they will be ready for Congo Brazzaville game on September 9th.
