Chaos emerged at the mumyuka Kayunga subcounty headquarters in Bugerere County as unidentified men using a vehicle Wish number UBK-059Q came and started removing trees from the headquarters which were planted by Kabaka’s chiefs and women in Kayunga.

It has been revealed that by 10am in the morning, these unknown men had already surrounded the whole place removing all the trees in a chaotic mood while holding guns and when the residents came to ask the reasons why they are removing trees, the responded with firing bullets which scared the residents away for the safety of their lives.

One of Kabaka’s chiefs in the area Hajji Bashir Ziraba Kawanguzi noted that most of the people who grab the Kabaka’s land use similar approach to destroy the kingdom and swore to do whatever possible to safeguard the Kabaka’s land and other properties.

Another Kabaka’s chief Margaret Ssempala Nambi revealed that there’s someone called Musa Wamala from Kalya family who she suspects to be behind this move due to his own known motive.

She added that they have already opened a file at police against Musa for collaborating and joining the unknown men to destroy Kabaka’s property and threatening people’s lives.

DPC Kayunga Sikahwa Rosette noted that they discourage this kind of act and they are yet to find out the motive behind it. She added that they have already invited Musa and his family to be answerable for the act of coming with these men.

Kabaka’s chiefs in the area also pledged to fight against anyone with plans to disorganise the kingdom.

It is revealed that when these men saw more people gathering, they entered their car and left to avoid what could happen next.
