Leaders Arsenal host Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday in a match between the top two sides in the Premier League standings.

Arsenal are three points above second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table with 17 matches to play. City lead fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur by nine points in the Champions League race.

Arsenal earned a point in their last Premier League match, drawing 1-1 at home against Brentford, extending their home unbeaten streak to 13. Manchester City defeated Aston Villa 3-1 at home in their last Premier League match.

The previous Premier League fixture between the teams saw Manchester City win 2-1 at Emirates Stadium last season. Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring for City in the 57th minute from the penalty spot. Rodri also was on target. Bukayo Saka scored the Gunners’ only goal in the 31st minute.

Manchester City’s leading attacking threat has been Erling Haaland, who has scored on 25 occasions. He leads the way at the top of the scoring charts in the league in 2022/2023.

In 10 Premier League contests at Emirates Stadium this season, Arsenal are unbeaten with eight wins and two draws. In league matches on their travels this season, Manchester City have earned 17 points from 30 available (W5 D2 L3).

In their last six league matches, Arsenal have won three, drawn two and lost one. Manchester City, meanwhile, have won four and lost two in their last six.
