The legends fight between Lukanga boxing club president Jajja Samuel Lukanga vs KBC administrator Ahmed Mbidde, has been officially launched on Wednesday 12 April by UBF president Moses Muhangi, at hotel Dianwill at kitende.
The fight is in the line for the celebration of 30 years of Lukanga in managing boxing, the fight will take place on 1, May, 2023 at MTN Arena Lugogo.
According to the fight organisers, 20, 000shs will be paid by ordinary people, 50, 000shs by VVIP people and 2 million shs for a table.
According to fight organiser, Samuel Lukanga a 65 years veteran boxer will be in red corner and his opponent Ahmed Mbidde in blue corner.
During his speech, UBF president Mr. Moses Muhangi, contributed 5 millions towards the construction of Lukanga boxing gym and promised more 5 million shs on the fight day if will be impressed by the fight.
According to Lukanga, he promised a knockout to his opponent while, Mbidde promised to stage a good show on the day.
Three rounds will be fought and each round will be for two minutes.
23 other bouts will be fought on the day, those include, coach Kabuye (katwe bc) vs coach Obula Kassim, coach Charles (Namugoona bc) vs coach Abdullah (Saku bc), Isma Afaba vs Brian Mayanja, coach Lora (cobap bc) vs coach Kimbowa (matugga bc), Haji Juma (kyengera bc) vs Benidiet Kamyuka, coach Shugi (power gym) vs coach Abdul (nalumunye), Lubega Med vs Kyambadde Emma, Solmon Geko vs Barak James, Ssenoga Stuart vs Ezra Ssali, Lusojo Shafick vs Osiro Sharif, Nandawula Zahara vs Ndagire Shaluwa, Mutyaba Colline vs Ibrahim Lubega, Mugambe Shakur vs Henry Kilumira, Resty Nanono vs Esther Namirimu.
