Vipers interim head coach John Luyinda “Ayala” made it two in two while the Venoms beat hosts Wakiso Giants 2-0 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Kitende on Thursday October 17 evening.

Despite having a rough patch in the last three weeks the venoms managed to lift themselves thanks to goals from midfielder Allan Okello and forward Milton Karisa.

The two goals were scored in either half with Okello netting just ten (10) minutes to close the opening half from the spot past James Alitho.

Karisa netted the second in the 62nd minute after Wakiso Giants’ backline failed to clear Okello’s low delivery away from the box only to find Karim Watambala who slide it to forward for a perfect placing.

This victory takes Vipers to the summit for now with 10 points, level with KCCA who have played a game less.

For Wakiso Giants, they stay in 8th with 7 points, level with UPDF, URA and Police who all have a better goal difference.

In their next games, Vipers will host Police in Kitende on Friday 25th October while Wakiso Giants will visit NEC FC in Lugogo on Wednesday 23rd October.
