Defending Champions Liverpool have been drawn to face Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw held on Monday afternoon.

Liverpool topped Group E that also featured Napoli, RB Salzburg and Genk while Atletico finished as runners ups to Juventus in Group D.

Atletico will host the first leg at Wanda Metropolitano in February while the second leg will take place at Anfield in March.

There have also been several interesting draws as all the 16 teams that qualified for the knock out stage, come from the five major European Leagues.

Premier League two time defending champions Man City will tussle it out with the competition’s record winner Real Madrid.
