Maroons FC Striker Tamale Simon, SC Villa coach Jackson Magera won Pilsner player, coach the month award

Maroons FC custodian, Tamale Simon voted the best pilsner player of the month of February/March.

The save master looked excellent in the two months, making three clean sheets in the last five games Maroons played in Uganda Premier League, not forget winning the two man of the match accolades that’s against KCCA FC and Busoga United, and the lad conceded only two goals.

He was very exceptional in Maroons draw against KCCA FC at Phillip Omondi Stadium, made over Six important saves for his side to walk away with a point.

Basing on that performance, the Former student of Kampala University managed to beat his counterparts in Innocent Media of Arua Hills and Express FC ‘s Allan Kayiwa.

Innocent Media scored three goals, two came against Blacks Power and one against KCCA FC, he made one assist and won one man of the match accolade while Allan Kayiwa appeared on score sheet on four occasions, he scored two against Onduparaka, scored each against SC Villa and UPDF FC, won one man of the match and made one assist.

Tamale Simon Upon receiving his accolade on Thursday Evening at Kati Kati Restaurant Lugogo, he thanked pilsner for organizing such a motivating award to football and thanked his team for being behind him.

This is the first time Tamale is winning Pilsner player of the month award this year.

The coach to on form and table leading club SC Villa, Coach Jackson Magera, beat his fellow tacticians in Muhammad Ssenfuka of Maroons and URA FC’ Sam Timbe.

To win the accolade, Magera guided SC Villa to 13 points out of the possible 15 in five matches. And Villa currently sit on top of the table with 40 points in 20 games.

Each winner walks away with one million each courtesy of Pilsner Lager.
