The chairman Masaka district Jude Mbabaali said they have fought a tag of war to win this battle
“Thank you for honouring my short notice invitation, I have been hearing about you fighting those who wrong the Catholic Church. I have invited you here to request you to do the same for muslims, I want you to help the muslim community in Greater Masaka to recover their land at Ntuusi in Sembabule measuring two square miles that has been illegally sold by unscrupulous Muslim leaders to a powerful busness man.”
Those were the words Greater Masaka Khadi, Shekih Swaibu Ndugga, said to me on arrival at his home in Bisanje a few weeks ago.
This being a matter of public interest Mbabaali said, “I am happy to announce that today using the testimonies of Sheik Swaibu Ndugga, Sheik Sulait Sentongo, Sheik Yusuf Kabugo and Haji Abdu Kalibbala I successfully moved the Registrar to encumber the land under instrument No. MSK 0029570 so that the purported new owner can not deal with the said land in any way.
He added that the land was donated to Masaka Muslims by President Idi Amin Dada.
