Minister of Buganda Kingdom in charge of sports , youth and recreation OWEK Henery Sekabembe Kiberu inspected Masaka Recreation grounds, grounds that was chosen to host Bika football tournament 2019 final scheduled for this Saturday 31st August 2019.
Minister was flanked by the Bika sports committee headed by Haji Suleiman Magala on Wednesday 28th August 2019 visited the venue as were conviced that it meets the standards required for the game.
The Minister agreed with the quality of the ground and said that, is the only the time waited.
“Today we visited the ground and all are set for the Bila football tournament and all preparations are done and we are only waiting for the day and time”, OWEK Sekabembe noted.
The honorable Minister Sekabembe also call upon all the people of Kabaka to come and support the Tournament on Saturday 31st August 2019.
The finals are going to be held at Masaka Recreationa ground Saturday 31st August 2019 when Mbogo encounter Kkobe.
Hon. Patrick Nsanja Mabirizi former MP for Ntenjeru south constituency supported this year’s tournament with 5 million Uganda shillings to increase on the prize money and the number of prizes to won on Saturday.
Nsanja who is also the secretary Masaza cup organising committee delivered that money to the tournament ornanising committee on Thursday after noon.
Meanwhile, Mamba Namakaka and Nyonyi Nyange qualified for the Bika netball 2019 finals to also be held at Masaka Recreation grounds on Saturday 31st August 2019.
The defending champion 2018 Mamba namakaka to reach the finals they to first beat their arch rivals Ngabi Nsamba on (12-9) in the semi finals played on Thursday after noon at Nakivubo Blue Primary school grounds, Whereas Nyonyi Nyange defeated Ngonge by (18-12) goals.
On Saturday gates will be open at 10:00am, tickets to be sold at the venue, ordinary 5000 and 10,000 for VIP for entrance.
