Masaza Cup 2024: Buvuma picks first win over Busiro to join Ssingo, Buwekula and Bululi on unbeaten run

Busiro 0-2 Buvuma

It took seven 7 attempts for Island team to find the right Answer against Busiro.

The Michael Bukenya coached side Buvuma capitalised on Gordon Ntege and Deziderio Kasolo goals to beat the one time Masaza cup champions Busiro at home.

The game played at Ssentema Ssaza ground saw Ntege converting from spot while Kasolo added the second also in the second half of the game.

Buvama came into the game at a short performance which saw them losing all 6 previous games while conceding over 20 time.

In the win Buvuma managed to score some number of goals as they have scored in past 6 previous meetings.

Also the win is the first for Buvuma this campaign following a record of 4 draws in 4 games posting a performance that took them to third place in Masengere group on 7 points.

The group is led by Kabula on 10 points followed by Busujju on 9 points after 5 games of group’s first leg.

It was the only game since it had to take place on 21 July 2024, other teams were at rest while other opted for friendly matches before kick off of group stages second leg due to commence next weekend  on 10 and 11 August 2024 on various venues.
