Masaza Cup 2024: Ssingo beats Kyaggwe to Join Bululi on 4 games unbeaten run

It was a battlefield for Ssingo and Kyaggwe at Mityana Ssaza ground ending in favour of host Ssingo.

Joseph Ssewaali and Shaban Kayongo scored at the beginning of either halves to see Ssingo winning 2-0.

The Match saw both Ssewaali and Kayongo taking their goal tally to 3 from 4 games making the top scorer mark with Kayongo netting in 3 consecutive matches.

For the team the win took Ssingo to 10 points from 4 outing registering 3 wins in row beating Gomba, Kooki, Kyagwe and drawing with Buwekula.

On that form it is where Ssingo Head Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa lied his faith his team to reach the highest height of the Airtel Masaza cup 2024
“from the beginning I have been saying that we are going to work, the only target with have as Ssingo is to win the 2024 Masaza cup trophy”

Meanwhile Kyaggwe Coach Steven Mutono said “We have lost the games because of one another challenges, we didn’t have enough scouting on the opponent and we knew less to them”

Ssingo chair person Ronald Ssekajja continued his team’s fans that this year is for trophy “it is now four years in office we have been building to date that is why we have the best team in this year’s competition, now we are ready to win, I am grateful to our fans that are giving us enough feul to run to our target”

Ssingo is so far leading Muganzirwazza group with 10 points the best for any team and it is only Kabula which is coming closer at 9 points in Masengere group.

On lossing end Marketing Manager Isaac Mukasa accepted the defeat and promised Kyaggwe fans a bounce back
“It has been a very physical game and they have defeated us but we still have nerves curry on and our mission remains to win the 2024 Masaza cup, soon we have a back to back Kooki games starting at home and we will win those, oue dream is still alive”

Kyaggwe sits Second in Muganzirwazza group with 7 points after losing their unbeaten run.

In other games on Sunday Buwekula finally shined with a hooping 3-0 win over Mawogola at Mubende PTC.

The win commenced Buwekula’s unbeaten run to 4 games following a hard start while drawing thrice in a row.

From Muganzirwazza into Bulange group Bululi maintained unbeaten run to 4 games as well with a second consecutive 0-0 draw against Kyadondo and Buddu respectively.

Bululi also maintained their top spot in Bulange group with 8 points from 4 games.

Back in Muganzirwazza like Buwekula, Gomba picked their first win of the campaign though it came with first point of 2024 Masaza cup.
