Mbogo High School successfully completed Uganda Badminton Schools League as Kinaawa high school kawempe overlapping Kibuli SS for boys championship.
The Mbogo high school side took home the girls trophy after completing a One hundred percent (100%) record winning all their five (5) games over its opponents.
Talking to an excited Nakiyemba Nazifah, the Mbogo high School player hailed this week has helped them gain confidence ahead of FEASSA games.
“We have emerged the overall best in the School girls championship now we are looking forward to winning the East African games (FEASSA)”
“Our young players have been given some games to play and have gained a bit of experience in this League which is very important.” She concluded
Winning the league Mbogo High bettered schools like Progressive Secondary School (7-0), Kinaawa High School- Mugongo, Gayaza High School, St Michael International and Nawandala SS (7-0).
On other hand Kinaawa Schools- Kawempe emerged boys category champions.
To become champions Kinaawa high lenderd on 100% record Winning all 4 games with the split from Mbogo being minimal.
Kinaawa defeated Progressive Secondary School, Kinaawa High School- Mugongo, St Michael International and Nawandala SS.
The league also had other categories on menu with Ebenezer Primary School came out of primary schools category champions.
The champions overcame St Catherine and Green Valley Primary Schools.
This was Mbogo high school’s second consecutive trophy in two editions after they were named the winners on the girls side
As of now super league and Corporate league are yet to be decided on the winners having Ndejje University and CFK corporate as defending champions from first edition.
Both Leagues are expected to commence on 3rd August 2024 with its climax is set for November this year.
