The Uganda boxing federation (UBF), President Moses Muhangi has fulfilled his promise of a warding Uganda national boxing team( the bombers) boxers that excelled in the just concluded All African games with ugshs 1,000,000.

Mr. Moses Muhangi handed over Ug shs one million to each of the medal winners at a function held on Wednesday 11th September at Kati Kati restaurant.

“I promised to give every Ugandan boxer who staged an outstanding performance with a medal in Morocco 2019 games, this is to motivate and empower the entire group so that next time they perform better”, said Moses Muhangi.

Moses Muhangi also advised the fans to support the team whetheris winning or losing,”he noted.

The boxer led by Ssemuju David the sliver medalist said they are now focusing on Olympics 2020 Tokyo qualification.

Uganda took eight boxers, six men and two women in Morocco for All African games managed to attain three medals, one Broze for Hellen Baleke and two sliver for Masembe Isac and Ssemuju David.

Uganda emerged 9th out of 45 over all. The pearl of Africa’s first medal in the games of this kind came 61 years ago as Tom Kawere achieved a silver medal in armature boxing in the 1958 Cardiff Olympics.
