Boxing legend Mike Tyson wants to train with Francis Ngannou.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou will make his ring debut when he faces Tyson Fury over ten rounds in Saudi Arabia on October 28, 2023.

Before stepping through the ropes for the first time as a professional, Ngannou is hoping to link up with two of the best heavyweights of all time.

“I think getting some advice or some training from Mike Tyson would be good,” he told media.

“I also think of somebody like Lennox Lewis who could be good. I love his boxing style, very basic but very sharp and efficient. One-two [punches], all that stuff, classic but very good.

“Yes, one of those guys. We are definitely reaching out.”

Ngannou is being written off by most ahead of his fight with the WBC heavyweight champion, but Mike Tyson refused to do so when he was recently asked for his opinion on the matchup.

“I think anything is possible. He has a hard punch,” he told media.

The 57-year-old even expressed an interest in helping Ngannou prepare for the fight.

“I would like to do that, yeah. That would be cool. I like that,” Tyson added when the prospect of him training ‘The Predator’ was brought up.

‘Iron’ is one of the most ferocious punches in boxing history, he became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at 20 years old.

Ngannou has a similar reputation after steamrolling his way through the UFC with scary knockout wins over Alistair Overeem, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Stipe Miocic.

The Cameroonian left Dana White’s MMA league earlier this year in pursuit of big boxing paydays, which he has found by fighting Fury who will earn him more money than all 14 of his UFC fights combined

It’s expected Ngannou will return to MMA with the PFL in 2024.
