The finals for the Bika by’abaganda Football and Netball tournament 2022 are less than three days to be held at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.

The Minister for Sports Leisure and Recreation Owek. Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu has urged all the clan heads to mobilise their grandchildren “Bazzukulu” to fill Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku come Saturday 11th March, 2023 like they did the last Saturday weekend for Masaza Cup Final.

Minister said while addressing media on Tuesday at Bulange Mengo, where he revealed that in the meeting they had with the organisers, they wanted each clan to at least mobilize 1000 fans to come to Wankulukuku and he asserted that in the arrangements they did, each clan will have a section at Wankulukuku.

“We encourage grandchildren to come back to the stadium specifically for Bika finals, you need to erase that thinking that Bika tournament no longer have vibe, this is ours as Buganda, it’s us to bring vibe in our things.” Said Minister.

“The arrangement of the new preparation is like this, we have staged places for every clan we have in Buganda, so we challenge the Katikkiros and Clan Heads to mobilize their Bazzukulu to come to Wankulukuku at least each to bring 500 but our target was 1000.” He added.

Minister Owek Henry Ssekabembe continued to confirm that students will pay 50% of the entrance fee, that is 5000/- per student and the tickets will be taken to schools.

According to Minister, the gates will be open at 9am, games will be played starting 11am and the final of Football will be played at 3pm.

In Football, the favourites Lugave clan will be seeking for their 8th title and first since 2004, whereas their opponents Ndiga will be looking for their maiden title since the tournament re-establishment in 1987.
